the work and workings of three internationally acclaimed artists who explore
the boundary between the act of making and the art of living. Jim Melchert,
June Schwarcz, and Kay Sekimachi have each worked for decades to integrate the
physical, emotional, and spiritual aspects of engagement with their respective
process and materials. Curator: Kate Eilertsen.

A.R.T.S.: Art Rewards the Student An annual exhibition of artwork created in the museum’s art education program for 4th and 5th grade students. This year students will explore, with local artists, the connection between science and art. Their exhibition is curated and installed by high school students who study what it takes to transform a museum gallery into a delightful experience for all visitors. Curator: Robyn Muscardini.

This exhibition will bring together nine artists: Enrique Chagoya, Judith Foosaner, Robert Hartman, Miya Hannan, Patsy Krebs, Brett Reichman, Josephine Taylor, and Larry Thomas. The work of these artists show the kind of commitment to revealing certain aspects of silence, exile, or cunning that require a rare conviction and an intimate knowledge of their subject that can only suggest a sympathetic relation to Joyce’s uncompromising stance. Curator: Frances McCormack.

Visions of Paradise Centuries before the
written word there were many visions of the “after life”. In this exhibition,
artists of many ethnicities, cultural backgrounds and diverse ages will share
their personal visions of paradise.

The Artist's Studio: Fletcher BentonHow does an artist working in monumental scale, design, construct and install a work of art? Fletcher Benton, world-renowned kinetic and constructivist sculptor will recreate his studio with the sounds, smells, textures and he surrounds himself with as he creates a work of art.
