Museum Offerings

SVMA’s facility features exhibition galleries, a 1500-volume art library, an art studio offering workshops, and year-round events as well as a Museum Store. Guided Visits

SVMA’s trained and personable Museum Guides provide a friendly face and a wealth of knowledge about the museum and each exhibition for our guests. They are a great resource regularly available on Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 11:00 to 4:00, and by special appointment. Ticketing Policy

Program and Event Ticketing Information

Program and event tickets may be purchased online or at the Museum, and advance purchase is strongly recommended. There are no fees for orders placed online or in person. Tickets may be purchased and picked up at the Museum during regular Museum hours. Tickets purchased over the phone will be emailed and cannot be mailed.

All ticket sales are final and confirmed via email. Tickets can not be exchanged or refunded unless the Museum cancels the event, in which case, ticket prices will be refunded.

No one will be admitted without a membership card, ticket, or receipt. Please print and bring your ticket to the door, or be able to pull up your receipt on your mobile device. Unless noted, program and event ticket prices include Museum Admission.

All prices, venues, dates, and times are subject to change. Please check our website or call the Museum with questions about availability or possible changes.

All seating is general admission, please plan to arrive early and check in with the Admissions Desk. Latecomers, please be advised that unclaimed seats will be released to the waiting list 15 minutes after the published start time. All other latecomers will be seated at the discretion of SVMA staff.

Studio Program Registration

All studio class registrations are final at the time of purchase and cannot be refunded unless SVMA cancels the class. The fee for most studio classes includes the cost of supplies. Registration for Studio classes closes 48 hours before the class date. Latecomers may or may not be accommodated at the discretion of Museum staff.   

Museum Admission 

Full-price adult, senior, and student tickets can be purchased in person on the day of your visit. Advanced online general admission tickets coming soon.

During days or times when the Museum offers free admission, check-in at the admissions desk is required.

Visitors under age 13 must be accompanied by an adult.

SVMA members enjoy free general admission to the Museum year-round, and are welcome to bring along 1 guest per membership card. Bring your card to get free entry to the Museum and a 10% discount on purchases in the Museum Store.

The Sonoma Valley Museum of Art will comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), which prohibits discrimination in the provision of access, programs, services, or activities to individuals with disabilities.
