A.R.T.S. Student Exhibition 2022

Make Today Better: The Art of Creating Change

This work was created as part of the Sonoma Valley Museum of Art’s Art Rewards The Student (A.R.T.S.) program, which brings SVMA’s Teaching Artists to fourth- and fifth-grade classrooms in Sonoma Valley.

The exhibition includes students from Dunbar Elementary School, Sonoma Charter School, Flowery Elementary School, El Verano Elementary School, Sassarini Elementary School, St. Francis Solano School, Prestwood Elementary School, and The Presentation School.

The program this year aims to explore ways that art can help us tackle the bigger challenges we face together and provides us with an oasis of calm in an uncertain world. The projects reflect an emphasis on cultivating emotional well-being, exploring personal representation, creating social change, and highlighting diverse artists.

The A.R.T.S. program is funded by Sonoma Valley Education Foundation, Sonoma Valley Catalyst Fund, Sonoma Plein Air Foundation, Manitou Fund, Sonoma County Vintners Foundation, Community Foundation Sonoma County, and Bank of Marin.
