Former Tibetan monks of the Gyumed Monastery, Lobsang Tsering, doctor of Acupuncture and professor at SFSU, and Gedun Kalsang, a.k.a Jampa, will be at SVMA building the Shamatha Mandala, which depicts the nine stages of mental development and is used in meditation practice. Teens/young adults can observe and learn the techniques of sand mandalas. Limited to 20 students.
