Jazzin’ It Up at ArtNight

A Celebration of San Francisco Jazz & Art

SVMA’s annual ArtNight is back! Join us for a lively night of music, art, food & cocktails, inspired by SVMA’s current exhibition: Dancing with Charlie: Bay Area Art from the Campbell Collection.

Providing the main entertainment is  A Band for All Seasons—a group formed especially for this event—with members Roy Blumenfeld (The Blues Project, Seatrain), Richard Olsen (The Charlatans, Richard Olsen Big Band), vocalist Joni Maxx, Paul Robinson and Paul Smith (Dan Hicks and the Hot Licks), and Jef Labes (Bonnie Raitt, Van Morrison bands). They will take us on a journey through the evolution of jazz during Charlie Campbell’s lifetime starting with his love of the Charleston, to Lindy Hop and Swing, to the sounds that poured out the doorways of all the hippest jazz clubs in North Beach.

And when it’s time for a break, cool your heels at the cocktail/appetizer bar outside and art-making tables inside, all designed to jazz up your body and soul. Come attired inspired by your favorite jazz era or craft your jazz age look on the spot!

Due to a rise in infections and hospitalization from covid variants, we will be requiring that attendees be vaccinated. Please be prepared to show your vaccination card and ID at the door. We also highly recommend that you wear a mask while indoors.

If you haven’t added your vaccine ID to your phone, you can do so at this link:
