Guest curators Shelby Graham and Kajahl with Richard Mayhew

Co-curators of Richard Mayhew: Inner Terrain, Shelby Graham and Kajahl, whose careers have been deeply influenced by Mayhew and his artwork, will have an in-depth conversation with the artist, who will reflect upon his years of artmaking and extraordinary life experiences.

Shelby Graham earned an M.F.A. from San José State University and has a 40-year career as an arts educator, contemporary gallery director, and experimental photographer, including exhibitions in the U.S., Japan, Spain, and the Czech Republic.

Kajahl studied art at SF State University, the Accademia di Belle Arti di Firenze in Italy, and received his MFA in painting from Hunter College in New York. He was a recipient of the Joan Mitchell Foundation Painters and Sculptors Grant and is represented by Richard Heller Gallery, Los Angeles, and Monique Meloche Gallery in Chicago.
