Join SVMA for a special Great Places | Great Spaces fundraising event at the breathtaking Maison Louise in Glen Ellen, hosted by Teresa L. Johnson.
Saturday, April 18, 3-5:00 PM
Maison Louise, Glen Ellen
Set against sweeping views of the Sonoma Mountains, this intimate gathering takes place at the height of spring, when prolific wisteria vines cascade across the property, framing the landscape and softening the transition between indoors and out.
Inside the home, a thoughtfully curated collection of contemporary art reveals an ongoing dialogue between artists and collectors, one rooted in curiosity, personal connection, and the evolving life of artworks beyond the gallery.
Throughout the afternoon, guests will enjoy drinks, hors d’oeuvres, and locally sourced seasonal nibbles. Arts and architecture tours, along with personal artist chats, will guide invitees through the experience at Maison Louise.
Guests will have the opportunity to meet two artists featured in the Maison Louise collection, with acquisition opportunities available through HackelBury Fine Art.
Oli Kellett is a British artist known for photographic series such as Crossroad Blues and for his meditative daily practice of drawing bars of soap as they slowly diminish; an exploration of time, ritual, and impermanence.
Coral Woodbury is known for her Revised Edition series, in which she paints portraits of overlooked women artists directly onto pages from Janson’s History of Art, offering a powerful reconsideration of art history.
Both artists are represented by HackelBury Fine Art in London.
$200 per person | Space is limited.
