The Shamatha Mandala, depicts the nine stages of mental development and is used in meditation. Former Tibetan monks of the Gyumed Monastery, Lobsang Tsering, Doctor of Acupuncture and Professor at SFSU, and Gedun Kalsang, a.k.a Jampa, will be at SVMA building the Shamatha Mandala with traditional techniques and materials. The mandala will remain on view until April 28. A sweeping away ceremony may be scheduled during the last days of the exhibition. Consult our website for updates.
