Miki Hsu Leavey is an accomplished abstract painter, collage artist, and museum educator. Since 1983 she has also been a student and friend of Raymond Saunders. Join her in exploring how working with black colors can change your perspectives and experimentations. We will use pencils, paints, and random collage materials including small found objects of your own. Join one class or both!

What to bring:
- one small canvas or wooden board
- your own painting tools like brushes or palette knives
- your own paints ( acrylics are best, oils and watercolors okay )
- some collage materials
- some small lightweight objects (if you want to attach them to the canvas or wooden board)

- drawing paper
- white pencils/chalk
- large brushes
- black gesso
- some acrylic paints & tools
- collage materials and tools for cutting
